A free one-hour workshop for your staff: using AI tools safely
Many nonprofit staff already use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT, often without any training. This hour teaches four habits that protect your clients and your organization.
What your team will learn
- Ask well. Get useful drafts, like a grant report paragraph, without made-up facts.
- Check before using. Find the real source for any number before it goes to a funder or a client.
- Protect clients. Keep names, case details and anything private out of AI tools, and still get help.
- Know when not to use it. Decisions about a person, and anything about safety, health or the law, stay with people.
What it takes
- One hour, at your office.
- 4 to 20 people. Staff, volunteers or board members. No tech skills needed.
- A room with a screen, and a laptop or phone for every two people. If that's hard, the exercises also work on paper.
- Free. Nothing to buy. Each pair uses a free Claude account, or the paper version.
What it doesn't take
- No client information, ever. Every example in the workshop is made up.
- No sales pitch. The workshop isn't selling anything, and it isn't connected to Anthropic, the company that makes Claude.
What we ask
A short quiz at the start and the end, with no names, so we can tell if the hour helped. If you agree, the totals may be shared with no names of people and no name of your organization unless you say yes in writing.
Everything used in the workshop is free to see first at nathanaelhub.github.io/nonprofit-ai-workshop.
