BL2026-1493Passed

Changes how money from hotel, airport contract vehicle and rental vehicle taxes is split and used, to follow Public Chapter No. 1079 of the 2026 Public Acts of Tennessee. The money goes into the Convention Center Fund in a set order of priority, and the extra hotel tax over $2.00 would end six years from May 21, 2026. It takes effect once the convention center debt outstanding on the date of the ordinance has been paid off, prepaid, defeased or refinanced.
