Using Claude at a Nonprofit
A one-hour workshop for nonprofit staff who don't write code. It teaches four habits:
- Ask well. Give Claude the context, the audience and the facts to use.
- Check before using. Find the source for any number or claim before it goes in a report.
- Protect clients. Keep names, birthdays, case details and anything identifying out of Claude.
- Know when not to use it. Decisions about a person's eligibility, safety or legal standing stay with people.
Everything a facilitator needs is here, and every page prints on letter paper:
| For the facilitator | For attendees |
|---|---|
| Facilitator guide: the hour, minute by minute | Handouts for the four exercises |
| Slides with speaker notes (press N) | Privacy sheet |
| Answer keys | Quiz, before and after |
| Quiz answers and tally sheet | Takeaway and feedback form |
Looking for a group to run it with? Send the one-page host flyer along with the outreach email.
This kit hasn't been run with real staff yet. If you run it, the quiz and feedback form are how we'll learn whether it works.
